Mass Plywood Panels (MPP)

Mass Plywood Panels (MPP) are a type of mass timber product made by laminating layers of veneer—similar to plywood but at a much larger scale. MPP is designed for structural applications and can be used in floors, walls, roofs, and shear wall systems in commercial and multi-family construction. The use of veneer rather than lumber allows for efficient use of forest resources.

Reuse Opportunities:

While still relatively new to the market, MPP can potentially be reused or repurposed when deconstructed carefully. Large, flat panel sections may be suitable for:

  • Reuse in new construction projects with compatible design specs

  • Modular or temporary buildings

  • Furniture or architectural features (such as benches, tables, or walls)

  • Cladding or acoustic panels in creative reuse projects

As adoption of MPP grows, so will the opportunities for reclaiming and repurposing it.
